In.Finite Space

Philadelphia Trip

I recently took a studio research trip to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to visit several sites. Some of them included the Race Street Pier, which was recently completed by James Corner Field Operations, as well as the Reading Viaduct and Rittenhouse Square. My trip was an experiment of situationist observations, and not a trip to visit the historic sites of the city. Rather, I used several small sites as a loose framework from which I began to experience the city, stumbling on spatial organizations that encouraged varying social interaction; strategies that I will be attempting to define and then implement in a design proposal for a project in Brooklyn.
